VS2005-beta2 remote tools not working with WM5 PPC emulator?

Apparently none of the "Remote Tools" bundled with VS2005-Beta2 are able to
establish a connection with the Pocket PC WM5 Emulator.

I tried with the emulator being craddled and un-cradled, no success.

Also the remote tools have a "Connectivity Options" dialog, which in fact
gives only one choice foe connectivity with the Pocket PC WM5 Emulator
(Transport = TCP Connect Transport, Startup Server = Device Emulation
Startup Provider), and the "Configure..." button does nothing for those.
The "Test" button does nothing either.

The "Connecting to the device" dialog never indicate that connection can be
established.

Are there other versions of the "Remote Tools" (e.g. Remote Spy, Remote
Process Viewer, Remote Registry Editor, Remote Heap Walker, Remote File
Viewer, Remote Zoom In) that work with the Pocket PC WM5 Emulator?

As a followup to the prior message thread about these tools... I was unable
to get the VS2005 Remote Spy tool to work with an actual device yet the
other tools worked.

I tried to run the VS2005 Remote Spy tool against a PPC2003 device and it
didn't work with that either so I think that tool is simply buggy. I gave
up trying to get the bundled tool to work and wrote my own crude attempt for
what I needed. Not the preferred method but it served my purpose and got me
the information that I wanted from the device.
