Hi,
I have 32-bit installation package created in VS2005,
in configuration manager the target is "default".
It contains some binaries both: 32 and 64 versions and other binaries are
only 32-bit. For other reasons I dont want to create two different packages
(64 and 23).
All is functional on both platforms only problem is that installation on
WXP64 is very slow. It takes time about 1 minute from installation start when
first first custom action (*.exe utility) starts. Progress bar stays on one
place so users can think that it freezes and cancel installation.
Amazing is that installation on Vista64 it is not very quick, but
essentially more quick than on WXP64.
On 32-bit systems all installation process takes about 30-40 seconds,
On WXP64 it is more than 3 minutes.
On Vista64 it is acceptable - about 1 minute.

Do you think that WXP64 installation can be more quicker ?
What to do with that ?

Peter
