French - Spell Checker

When I run spell check in Outlook Express, the dictionary it uses is French.
This the is only language oddity on my system. Everything else is in English
as it should be. I tried going to Tools --> Options and changing the Language
to English, but "French" is the only choice available. Any ideas on how to
fix this?

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

Office 2007 breaks OE's spell check. Downloading a free spell check is the
simplest way around this.

I had the same problem and found this .exe to install and now I have english spell checker.

Thank you for confirming that a two year old fix in a two year old blog
is still relevant. Two years from now there's hope that someone else
using OE will have the same problem and the same solution found here
(there) will still work.

(will OE compatible spellcheckers still work on Windows9?)

And, of course, in another 2+ years, and like Virgina, they will post
another "me too" message. Virigina is pretty typical of the boobs using
Egghead's screwed up gateway to Usenet to pretend they have forums.
