Retrieving deleted e-mails

Is there a method to locate recently (two weeks) deleted e-mails? Using
Windows XP. Thanks.

1: Is this a Pop3 account?

2: What folder were they in?

3: Did you delete them or did something else happen?

4: Are they in Deleted Items?

You can try the recover mode feature of DBXpress (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/)
but it will only recover the text portion of the email as OE overwrites 4
bytes out of every 512 when it deletes the messages. Also, after two weeks
its unlikely you will be able to recover them unless they are still on the
server.

You *might* have them backed-up (have you checked the trash?).

I create a new e-mail account with a new name, all same as the original
settings, and use it to download new mails. It'll download everything that's
still left on the server. Works well; used it more than once. They're only
marked read on the original e-mail account.
This assumes they're still on the server of course.
