I've got also two pc's in my environment (until now) which are stating this error, not sure when this occurs through the day.
This problem is occuring suddenly since yesterday, maybe it something with the actual mspatches rolled out through the last week. I'll try to find something out and will post back.
If anyone else has a clue what the problem is relied to, I would be greately for a hint.
I have the same problem. only problem is that you cant remove these patches once they are intstalled. i have tried detect & repair and renaming the dll file.
muliple users now seem to have outlook crashing!! has anyone managed to resolve this?

On our workstations the patch does not appear in the add/remove programs. on our wsus server it lists the patch as installed? In wsus it also says that the patch can not be removed?

sorry for the dump question, but did you active "show updates" within "add/remove software"? Yes Patch is marked as "not removable within WSUS", but that only means that it cannot be removed through WSUS.

I don't know where this could be enabled with SP1.
But maybe you could uninstall the patch by running the orinial exceutable with a uninstall parameter (I don't realy know if this executable has this feature)?
I have seen the same error since applying the updates in question. It has affected sporadic users, but reports of outlook errors seem to be increasing. I have uninstalled the updates KB929969 and KB925534 on 8 affected clients, and seems to have corrected the issue with the exception of one user. Stay tuned...

I have a user who is having this problem. She is using Office 2000 SP3 with all updates. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the office software and I am still getting the same behaviour.
I have read your post with interest and checked the user's computer for the updates in question. The updates are not listed. I did some reading up on these updates and KB92534 is 2003 junk mail filter update. But KB929969 is a Server 2003 update!?!? Could this be a typo? if not why is this update effecting office.

The user informed me that it seemed that everytime she walked away from her machine Outlook would lock. She had a screensaver on that asked for password to resume. When she unlocked her computer outlook was locked.
I took the password resume off her computer and everything now seems fine.

I can make Outlook crash and restart pretty consistently just by opening an email and immediately hitting the <esc> key -- definitely something wrong with the last updates...

Well that pretty much describes my problem that I am having. I have to users that have CRM 3.0 and the newest update both were crashing I will give M$ a call and see what they say about the hotfix.
