create rule based on the DISPLAYED from field

Hi Group,

I'm using Outlook 2007.
Is it possible to create a rule that searches the text displayed in the
"from" field?
I would like to delete messages with certain offensive words in the "from"
field, but I'm unable to find any rule that does that.
I can see the words of "interest" if I go to Message options / Internet
headers, but how do you build a rule based on that ?

Diane, I tried that and it doesn't work.

It's about the v... word (blue pill) that shows as "from" like this:
Free v... and cia...
or
GetFree V...
or
V... promo
etc.

I set up a rule that checks for the v... word in the message header, then
permanently deletes it.
But apparently the rule is not working...
I'm not trying to catch the from address, because that changes with every
new email. I'm just trying to catch the word in the displayed "from" field.

Any suggestions ?

By the way, I'm using v... instead of full name because I posted this
earlier but it never showed up, so I'm assuming that there must be a filter
at work here, on the newsgroup...

There is a filter on these groups, otherwise they'd be useless and full of
spam.

Is the word in the full internet header? right click on the message, choose
options. Copy and paste into notepad so you can see it better.

BTW - outlook's junk mail filter (outlook 2003 and up) should get most
junk - the little bit left behind usually isn't worth rules.

I found some in my junk mail folder with "V**** Best Online Store" display
name - a rule looking for those words in the header worked.
This is the rule I made that worked:
