How to back up Outlook Calendar file?

I recently bought a new computer and transfered the outlook.pst file
to the new system and imported the info from it into outlook. But
only the recurring events showed up, none of the single-day events.
So I lost about 2/3 of my entries. Is there something else I need to
do to make sure that all entries are included when I import from a
back-up .pst file? Thanks.

Are you sure you got the right PST file (not the archive PST)? Also, run
ScanPST.EXE on all PST files..

What exactly does "ScanPST.EXE" do? Also, I imported the outlook.pst
then I later even tried importing from the archive.pst. Same results
from both... only got about half of my entries.

It fixes any structural issues in the PST file (which is a database file of
sorts). If you open either PST file directly (using the File menu > Open
command) do you see your data in the folder tree?

I see the file and can open in in Outlook. But It only shows 1/3 to
1/2 of the entries that were on Outlook Calendar befor I transfered
the file. I just wonder, did I need to archive or export the info to
another file before I copied it? Just copying the file after the last
shut-down of Outlook didn't retain all the data in the file.

Did you have another PST (possibly named Archive.PST)?
