archive lost
I might have overwriten the archive.pst. Though I doubt that, because at home
Outlook is not set to auto archive and the archive.pst is not completely empty (
only the ... I am not sure, but I think that a subfolder of my In Box archived
and all mails are lost. Can not find them in the *.pst file. Is that possible?

Auto Archive settings (Outlook) and Exchange 2003
If all that old mail is in an archive on the local machine and the HDD goes down
, all that old mail will be lost. Might not necessarily be a big deal, ... only
afford so much HDD space) so we want users to auto archive messages monthly to

what a pain this is a USer has ther autoarchive set to auto archive every 14
days to the file archive.pst. ... Any help would be much appreciated as I have

archive deleted my messages???
But recently, I have been saying yes to the auto-archive. Well, now I cannot
view any messages in the archive file. I did File > Open > Outlook Data File...
and selected my archive PST file. Nothing shows up. So either it put my messages
in another file, or it lost them. So how can I find where else the messages ...

Email folder disappeared with its content
I have not set any auto archive settings because I manage my email myself. When
I click File, Data Management << It just opens the Outlook folder where I can
see my ... But this time I lost a folder full of emails (perhaps 15 or 20) and I
can not find it anywhere neither the mails. I closed Outlook (2003 beta) and ...

Email disappeared from sent box
When Outlook was installed, it apparently installs with Auto Archive on, but I
didn't know that. so, last week I lost a lot of sent emails, but it wasn't
tragic. I subsequently found and turned off Auto Archive. Today, I wanted to
sort my emails from the past week, including the sent emails, into my folders.

archive. I'm not fond of autoarchive - the files frequently get lost, for one
thing. If you store them locally, they'll doubtless run into problems eventually
