Shortcuts on Shotcut navigation Pane are corrupt in Outlook 2003 S

Hello,
we have a problem with Outlook 2003 SP1 on several Laptop that are using
shortcuts in the shotcut navigation pane. Without any reason the shortcuts
are gone. They are woring for weeks and then they are gone.
Any Ideas?

The navigation pane in Outlook 2003 seems in general to be more fragile that
in earlier versions. We don't know why.
