outlook seems to be replaced by outlook express on my machine

One of my partners opened up his computer this morning and microsoft outlook
is not there? however outlook express is. this is a windows xp machine and
outlook 2003, our mail is on our exchage server. no one else in the office
has the same issue.

Are you saying that when you open the control panel, Microsoft Office is not
there and all components have been uninstalled? Or do you mean there's no
icon on his desktop? Have you checked Start > Programs > Microsoft Office to
see if Outlook is located there?

It was removed from the start menu? look for the outlook shortcut on the
programs menu, under Microsoft office. if that shortcut works, then
something was changed in windows, either resetting the default mail client
or just changing the start menu shortcut.

I just noticed the same thing today. All of my contacts, calendar etc are in outlook and it has been replaced with express. There is nothing under Microsoft Office. Were you able to find yours?
