What do you want done with prior events? Outlook will show you only
those events that are in the current view. If you limit your view to a
weekly view, clearly you won't see events that occur prior or subsequent
to the current week.

Even if you're in a Month View, Outlook will still only show the
AppointmentItems for that specific date range.

Also (and more importantly), what exactly are you trying to accomplish?

- Is there a fundamental reason 'why' as opposed to just preference? If
there is a specific 'need', as opposed to 'want', we may be able to come up
with a more effective solution than just deleting them?

-While there's obviously a 'want' to delete the items, the typical Outlook
user doesn't delete out appointments from last month to just have them off
the calendar which is why providing us with additional information can help
us to understand the 'need'.

- Which views are you using? Obviously Outlook can display your calendar in
a Day View, Week View or Month View, but also in other views which are
pre-defined as well as user-defined. VIEW >> CURRENT VIEW

A month in Outlook is not a separate calendar. The entire calendar is
a single entity. You cannot remove past dates from Outlook. You can
delete the events on those dates, but you can't stop Outlook from
displaying the dates themselves.
