I have 253 deleted items that repopulate the deleted items folder every time
I start Outlook 2003- even if I just minimize it and restore it, I can watch
the deleted items folder grow by 253. If I don't constantly monitor the
number/size, the "ordinary" deleted items folder becomes ginormous.

Where are they coming from? How do I stop it?

Thanks,

Dave

What type of mail server? POP? IMAP? Exchange?

POP servers on two accounts. However, the items that keep reappearing are
calendar items, each one set to begin 12/31/79 @ 7:00pm and end at 7:30pm,
and they have weekly reoccurence with no end date. There are no mail items
that reappear- only calendar items and they reppear within minutes after
"permanent" deletion and reappear and reappear and reappear...

Aha. The 12/31/1979 was a clue. Looks like an issue with the Google calendar
sync which I'm guessing you installed.

Looks like
http://jimtut.blogspot.com/2008/03/fix-for-barrage-of-deleted-items.html is a
'fix'.

So is unintalling the sync, one would assume.
