What would cause Outlook 2007 to want to connect to "remote.domain.com" while
still connected to the exchange server on the LAN. It appears to be looking
for a proxy to complete Outlook over HTTP but this is a workstation that is
on a SBS 2008 Lan and shouldn't be looking for credentials to access the
server. If you cancel, the connection is made, but if you try to authenicate
it fails and brings you back to the log in prompt. Any thoughts?

What address does autodiscover use? It sounds like DNS is sending it to the
internet address. Proxy server could be doing it also.
