Export a contact with picture as vCard

Why are the pictures associated with my contacts discarded when I export them
as a vCard? The contacts sent from my mobile phone to the computer has the
pictures attached coded in base64, but when I import these contacts to
Outlook my picture gets discarded. The same happends when I export a contact
from Outlook 2003, instead of getting my picture encoded in base64 and
attached to my vCard file it also gets discarded! Why is it that Microsoft
has not thought of this before?

Outlook's incomplete vCard implementation doesn't support pictures.

Curious did you ever find a work around for this. When I export a vcard with
a picture in the picture form window, it is stripped off in the transmission.
Obviously it would be disireable to embed the picture so this would not
occur.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciate.

Wow, it would be quite useful don't you think if we could forward
vcard files with the picture embedded in the picture form window (Outlook
03)? Can't this be done? If not, why not?

The workaround is to send an actual Outlook contact, not a vCard.

You will also note that contacts do not sync to a pocket pc well - certs
and pictures dissappear. Syncing to a palm has better results - its the
best thing if you want to be compatible with outlook (I have the pocket pc).
