Updating a recurring meeting cuses multiple updates to be sent

OK so where i work we are having a problem, now and then when a person
updates a recurring meeting it will send an update for every instance of
the meeting. It has happened more than once and i have looked all over the
internet for a solution, it also does not seem to happen every time some
one edits a recurring meeting. I saw that Microsoft has a message about
some thing similar to this on their knowledge base but it seems to be a
different problem entirely any ideas?

so you know we are running Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2007 servers
