It was a separate download for the public beta. I don't know if MSDN is any

I am a subscriber and the download says nothing about it being a beta but
regardless wether it's a beta or not, there is only 1 CD.

There is an entire section under MSDN downloads called "Business Contact
Manager" though, but that doesn't include BCM for Outlook 2007, only for 2003.

I am about to open a support ticket with MS regarding this. I will let

MS says they are aware of the problem but they do not have a resolution
at this point. The support guy is suppose to call me back when they

MS support called me back. They said it should be available Monday. He
was not sure if it would be a separate package or if you would have to
download office pro again.

Did this ever show up? I loaded 2007 from a CD set I received and no BCM. I
looked and looked at the MS website and no download for it anywhere. I am
curious if Microsoft resolved the issue yet.

Well I was hoping that somone would have gotten back to Jerry with some
instructions, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

And please put down your coffee cup before I tell you that aparently the fix
for this monday nov. 21st, 2006 was to simply edit the package description of
the Office 2007 ISO, so that Outlook isn't even mentioned anymore (with or
without BCM).

This is (acording to the description) an Office 2007 package without Outlook
hehe :)

Hmmm... Ok, I normally don't like to accuse anyone of somthing unless I'm
certain, but it appears to me that somone found this thread offending (or
maybe rather embassing?) and disabled any possible search result for this
thread in the forum.

If this is the case I think it's a somwhat lame way to solve a problem by
hiding it instead of just coming forth and giving some info on the matter,
pfft...

Office 2007 Ultimate is available on Technet for download and should contain
BCM. Enterprise Edition was not scheduled to have BCM. The versions of Office
2007 that should are Small Business Edition, Office Professional and Office
Ultimate.

Seriously, I've just finished doing the same thing as you Jeff (installed
Ultimate) and, like you, no BCM appeared. Haven't got a clue as to where to
go next I've tried everything I can think of. Everyone is trying really hard
to get BCM and evaluate it but to no avail. My emails/complaints to Microsoft
have, up to now, gone unanswered. Hopefully some eager MVP is monitoring the
discussion group and will "bite the bullet" and do something to get this
resolved. Will keep digging around and if I come up with anything I'll let
you know.

p.s. BCM should be a part of Office 2007 Small Business Edition (as with
Ultimate) but I can't find a download for it - that's the only avenue I
haven't been down.

I might be missing the point but BCM 2007 is now on the MSDN download site.

The stuff is there now...

1) Outlook is (at the moment) not a part of the Office 2007 download, it's a
seperate download found under Applications -> Outlook 2007 as I recall.

2) BCM for Outlook 2007 is (at the moment) a seperate download, it's found
under Applications -> Business Contact Manager as I recall.

Above descriptions is for MSDN subscribers obviously.

I have downloaded both and installed them successfully (without Office
itself) and it seems to be working (haven't tried much though since I'm not
interested in using it but in developing for it).

For the developers point of view however, the documentation resources are
rather limited. There is some ofcause, but it's not nearly enough especially
with the new stuff they added since BCM 2003.

Anyway, the short message here is that it IS now available for MSDN
subscribers.
