I am running a Windows XP Service Pack 3 system and Office Suite 2003.

After each of the last three Automatic Windows update, I lost the ability in
Outlook to edit using Microsoft Office Word 2003.

If I then went into tools/options/mail format and re-checked the box and
apply, the change back did not stick.

My only work around was to use system restore.

Why is update changing the Outlook parameters?
Is there a fix that will permit me to get the Windows updates without the
change to Outlook?

Yes Peter, Word is selected as the HTML editor.

In addition, today I agin lost the Word editing capability in Outlook, even
after the system restore.
