I am facing the similar issue on around 10 machines. After installing
SP3 some of the Excel worksheets cannot be opened with that error, but
the same excel sheet can be opened with Excel SP2.
Unable to figure what might be the issue, ny help would be useful

The problem is that with SP3 microsoft has dropped support for Word 2.0 and
older Excel version (Not sure of the exact version) files. Office 2007
responds in the same way.

Hi,

with Word you can solve it with the new adm and a gpo or editing the
registry http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938810/

I have 150 users that potentially installed SP3 and we get about 75 dialog
box messages before the file opens. When is MS going to answer this issue?
How can they stop support for older versions in an update? Couldn't it be
applied (with a warning on opening) only on major versions (Office 2007)?
