I don't recall if MS Office Photo Editor ships with the standalone version of
Word2000, but you may want to check by double clicking on the Word/Office2000
choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel to see if it's
available.
You don't mention which Adobe product you have (they have quite a few <g>)
but there are 'plugins' for Adobe Photoshop you can download
and Adobe Photogold may also support those.

There are also online sites that can process a picture for you through a graphics
filter. Kodak, using some of the same plugin filters, has some on their site, for example.
