reverting back to 2003 from 2007 trial

My installed 2007 Professional Trial has just expired and i do not wish to
convert at this time. My question - if I delete 2007 program via
"Add/Delete", will documents/files created with 2007 automatically re-open
through 2003 or will they be lost in cyberspace?

There is a compatibility pack to allow your Office 2003 programs to open
files saved in Office 2007 format. It's the number one popular download
this month.

You could have also manually saved your Office 2007 documents as Office 2003
documents before deleting the trial. That would be something for other
readers to think about.

Thank you for the info. I have downloaded the compatibility pack but not
sure if that addresses my question or not. Since I no longer have the
ability to "save as" on my 2007 created documents, will I lose access to
those documents completely if I uninstall the 2007 program or will they
automatically reopen in 2003?

you tell it to install in a separate directory?

Whatever you've made and saved will stay on your computer like any other
file. You won't be able to open them unless you download the Viewer of the
Compatibility Pack, which you've done already.

You should be fine when uninstalling.

(Though upgrading to 2007 would be a good idea; the Compatibility Pack may
not get everything perfect; all the fancy WordArt with 3d Effects and stuff
are turned into uneditable pictures.)

I know this is quite a bit later than your orig post, but I also installed
the 2007 Small Business trial, and when I uninstalled it, it took my previous
version of word, outlook and excel with it. I am now having to hunt down the
discs and reload. I am so furious. I just want to let other know, that if
you download it, and choose not to upgrade, you will lose your previous
programs. How unbusiness like.
