The searched string is found in CPP and H files, but not in SQL files. Why is
this format not treated as text files ? Enhanced Google Desktop Search allow
to enter extensions treated as text files.

Is there a work around ?

Hilberty,
I've seen this behavior as well and I have many, many .sql files I
previously had FT Indexed by the Indexing Service! There is an Indexing
Service utility (Filtreg.exe) that can be downloaded from the Platform SDK
that can be used to set filtering of one file type (.sql) to be the same as
another (.txt), and I had this working via:

filtreg .sql .txt

filtreg
-- Edited output returns for .sql:
...
.sql --> Plain Text filter (query.dll)
...

Now after upgrading MSN Desktop Search to the current release, the following
query returns 0 results: "dbcc ext:sql" and there are many .sql files on my
hard drive that have dbcc in them! I suspect that this is some sort of a
regression bug, but I too would like to get a workaround until this can be
fixed!

Thanks,
John
