MSN Messenger 8.1 hangs on install

Hey Group,

Got a big problem installing 8.1. As with nearly all Microsoft products, the
initial install progress goes from 0 to 99,9% in less than 1 second and then
it says:

"Please wait.. This may take a few minutes"..

Well.. So far it's been saying that for nearly 2 hours with no CPU-activity
or anything else. This is the third time I'm trying to install 8.1 en-US
edition and of course I'm not even able to cancel the installation, so I have
to do a cold restart of my machine in order to "roll back" the installation.

What could be wrong!?!

Just a quick note to say that 8.0 installed flawlessly, so they must have
changed something in the Installer on 8.1! :-/
