Those who removed spending and performance modules from the home
page due to very slow performance should be able to add those back
with reasonable performance.
There are some other improvements less obvious to those who already
had things working.

You may have to reboot Windows.

I had to RunAsAdministrator once to succeed. After successful
update, the Help->About version changes from 17.0.*.727 to
17.0.*.1415.
Cool. Thanks Cal.
Bruce.
I added mine back in (3 metrics) and it there is def a performance
increase. What used to be around 30 seconds felt around 10 now.
Livable but not great for a quad core 3.0GHZ with 2GB RAM.
I'm getting a 'you must be connected to the internet' message when attempting to authenticate with a Live ID. No problem if firewall is down. Added "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Money Plus\MNYCoreFiles\msmoney.exe" to firewall, (WLOC) which now lists it as .1414.
Did run it as admin (in Vista) once. Haven't rebooted yet. Will try that.

Reboot resolved this problem.
I again restarted in admin and when prompted to choose another file, I
used an old test file which it loaded ok and then ran the update.
After it finished, I restarted money in non-admin and it immediately
crashed. I tried admin mode and it also crashed (Microsoft Money has
Stopped Working).
Reboot did not help. I went into DEP and removed the msmoney and money
background entries. I went to re-add them from the new folder but it
said I could not add the exe's to the DEP-bypass list since DEP was
required for these exe's.
Does anyone have any solution to this?
Thanks,
Gary Davis
Move your *.mny and *.mbf files out of ProgramFiles, and typically
into your Documents folder.

It may have updated a module that was in memory as a result of Money having started in the first place. Perhaps it couldn't replace that until released from memory by a restart.
I'll be happy if it fixes the hanging on 'paying a scheduled CC bill upon
completion of balancing a CC account' that I experience. Have been putting
off the nuke the bills and reenter hoping a fix like this will come out.
Is there an official list from MS of the issues addressed in this update? I
might remember this incorrectly, but I thought MS does not always list the
actual issues addressed with the updates they push out for various versions of
Money?

My mny file is on a network share. I copied it to my local documents
folder and double clicked it to open it in the updated MSMoney but it
still immediately crashed. I tried to double-click the sample.mny file
and it also crashed.
Unhandled exception at 0x0350412d in msmoney.exe: 0xC0000096:
Privileged instruction.
The version of the MSMoney.exe file is 17.00.1414 (in properties), not
1415 as you listed.
Properties also showed it was using WinXP compatability mode so I
unchecked that and tried again.
It worked on the sample and also on my networked mny file.
Help->About showed version 1415.
All is well again:)

Although explicitly not listed, it appears to have corrected the issue I was
having with Money Plus hanging when entering a bill payment upon completion of
balancing a CC account.
