I have seen contradictory comments all over in both regards... its going to
just stop and only updates will stop. Does anyone know a definite answer for
this?
I don't pay bills online or download financial statements, I just update my
portfolio. I will gladly just manually update that if the program just keeps
working.
Expecially the checkbook and reports.
Thanks,
Judy

Judy,
KEY question. Did you buy the boxed version of Money 2007 or
did you download it?
If you have the boxed version AND the CD disk that came with it you
are fine as far as the program is concerned. The online updates will
end in January, 2011. If you downloaded the Money program it is a
different story. Read other threads here to find out what to do. Good
luck. Steve.
M+ (nee M08) will stop downloading on the date in Help|About or 1/31/2011
whichever comes first.
What will stop is "online services". Unfortunately for M+ users and M07/6
(/5 ???) users who bought online, these include activating new
installations. Microsoft has announced the intent to ship a patch or
something TBD to M+ that will remove the online activation requirement. If
you are on M07/6 (/5?) you get no such relief, apparently.
If anyone has suggested that the application will just stop, they do not
know what they are talking about so ignore them.

It is much clearer (sort of) now. At least mine will keep working offline,
and I have the boxed CD. I don't use online services anyhow. Just update
quotes. I don't have Plus, I just have Money 2007 Deluxe. So as long as it
will keep working, as long as I don't get a newer computer that's not
compatible, I'm happy. Not exactly a near term plan anyhow. :) I can still
always convert to Quicken if I have too. But I used it once years ago and I
didn't care for it. They seem to be having quirky issues converting anyhow.
Thank you much for your help.

My boxed 2007 is still working as of 10 minutes ago. I guess count yourself
lucky it was still working because it was suppose to have expired at the
beginning of September.

In the past few months, I never realized that the patch and activation only
applied to the downloaded version of the Money Plus program. Since I have
the boxed version, am i correct in discovering that I won't have to worry
about the patch then?

You will need that patched version if you want to be able to install
after Jan 2011. Without the patch, it would need to be activated
with 60 days, and there will be no activation server.
