I've been a Money 3.0 user since 1994 and have used Online services via
Compuserve since then. Online access is important to me as as I am an
American expatriate working and living abroad since 1991 and all my banking
is done from a US bank.
I have reasonable Internet access here in Egypt through a local ISP, but
CompuServe access must go through the UK, and is both expensive at $5.00 per
minute and very unreliable, therefore I'm interested in upgrading Money to
use my Internet connection.
I have the domestic (USA) version of Money98, so the first problem I
encountered was accessing the Internet via the 1-800 number provided to
update my bank's online services selections. (800, 900, and other free
access numbers usually cannot be dialed from overseas) Successfully worked
through this by reconfiguring the Money98 DUN selection.
Now, Money insists on changing my PIN before I can access my existing
account and it wants to make another "secure" toll free call directly to my
bank's computer to do this. This is where I'm stuck; is there a script or a
Registry setting that I can modify to disable this PIN change? And what
pitfalls await me if/when I get through this step?
Any suggestions appreciated....
Best,
John Cribb

Thanks for the reply and suggestion; would you have any ideas on bypassing
the 1-800 issue and dialing a non-800 number?
