1 datasource 1 map 2 computers 2 pushpin sets

I have two computers (actually 3 but I don't have the numbers on the third
yet) both use the same Map yet when I fresh the pushpin set using update
now on one I get 377 records and on the other I get 386. (the sqlserver
view they are pointed at has 396 but I know that some are coming up as dupes.)
Why would this happen? When I update now dowes the mapjust refresh the data
it had the first time? Is there an eroneous setting somewhere?
