I was just ready to purchase Snow Leopard, but, am quite hesitant now. Can anyone tell us how widespread this problem is? I use Word, exclusively. I cannot afford even a half day of downtime due to any issues with that problem. Thanks!

Automator?Applescript and security preference

Hi all I have a pile of documents that all open with the Read-Only flag set in the security preferences... flipping annoying to have to dismiss the box everytime! Is there any way to bulk turn off this, using either Automator or Applescript - or both? Thanks

labels and a forward slash?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I am creating an address label through Tools and I want to add a "c/o" (care of) on the label, but whenever I press the forward slash button the Word Help Home pops up. I have gone to the Customize Shortcuts and deleted the shortcut, but it still pops up. How can I get rid of this so I can put the forward slash on my label?... more »

I started a new job recently, it's on a mac.. I have a few questions: is normal.dot portable from pc to mac? I have my own normal.dot, highly customized, that I've been using for years, and porting from home to work, etc.. but until now have always been on a pc.. is it possible to use this normal.dot on the mac?... more »

2004 word:mac document opens blank on other computers
