I want to get the reviewing toolbar to display but I can't seem to do
it. I've tried:

1. Turn track changes on and off - no luck
2. Turn view markup on and off - no luck
3. Tried View -> Toolbars but "reviewing" isn't listed
4. Tried to create a customised toolbar called "Reviewing" but am told
it already exists
even though it doesn't appear in the list of available toolbars.

If it does exist, it refuses to appear no matter how hard I try to
find it.

I have a document with lots of changes and I want to accept them all
in one go. My last resort is to make my own reviewing toolbar, but I'd
rather use the built in one if I can find it.

Rob, the Review options are now in something called the Ribbon,
not a toolbar. Are you seeing the other Ribbon options (Home,
Layout, Document Elements, and Tables)? What happens when you
choose Ribbon from the View menu?

Ah, found it, thank you.

I had turned off the ribbon because I find it so annoying. Now to ask
some more questions...

Ribbon is a choice under the View menu, and Review is one of the
standard tabs in the ribbon.

The ribbon is so annoying, because it uses up vertical screen space and is too wide for my screen. I want a floating palette that I can position to the left of the document. Unfortunately, the only good solution is to create a custom reviewing toolbar (which, of course, MS will not let me name "reviewing").

I see Ribbon under View, but it is grayed out. I have no idea how to un-gray it.
