Easier Time Entry

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie to this forum. Please apologize if this question has been asked before. Though I did search before I post this question.

I did some look-around in the forum of Excel for PC and come across someone suggesting the following website for an easier way to do time entry in Excel, but I don't think this works with Excel 2004 for Mac since I tried and it doesn't work.

I need to create a form that other people can work on with, primarily with time and some calculations with the time inputted. However, before I'm stepping to far here, the first barrier that I need to pass is the inputting of time in Excel.

Is there an easier to input time in excel that don't require colon and AM/PM?

Hi Neon,

Were the dates off by four years when you tried it? If so, then try
changing the setting to the 1900 date system in Excel preferences.

Hi Jim,

The code simply doesn't work for me at all.
I tried both way - putting the code in Module and then Worksheet, but neither way works.
Any suggestion on how to input the time much easier in Excel?

Chip's method absolutely works with XL04. I've used it many times.

What "doesn't work" for you?

Did you put it in the appropriate Worksheet code module?

Did you adjust the range for your input cell(s)?
