Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Hello,

When I am composing an email in Outlook on Windows, and I am working with a bulleted list (or other outline-style list), I can increase or decrease the indent leve by using TAB and Shift-TAB. For example:

1. Topic
1.1 Subtopic <-- Hit TAB to increase indentation level to X.X
2. Next topic <-- Hit Shift-TAB to decrease indentation level back to X

However in Entourage, this does not work. HItting TAB simply inserts some spaces. Instead, I have to manually click the "Increase Indent" and "Decrease Indent" buttons.

Is there an equivalent keyboard shortcut for Entourage for changing the indent level? If not, is there some way I can create one?

Thanks very much for your help!
-Jeff

You can try using the increase indent icon in the HTML toolbar. Its the
one with the blue arrow.

Entourage's HTLM capabilities are very limited. You might want to create
complex messages in Word.

Options for sending from Word are "Send to Mail Recipient (HTML)" and 'mail
merge to email'. For more info see Word Help:

Thanks for your response. I'm aware of the blue 'Increase Indent' and 'Decrease Indent' buttons in the toolbar; what I was actually looking for is some way to invoke them with a shortcut key, rather than via the mouse.

If there's not a built-in shortcut key, does Entourage offer any way of assigning my own custom key to the button actions?

Thanks,
-Jeff

No, but you can with System Preferences and/or a third party application.

Command + Square bracket (next to the P key) is what you are looking for. Spent ages on the web, then I just started pressing keys until I found it :)
