Has anyone experienced problems with the new update.

Do you have MacBook Pro and Entourage 2004?

Thanks

I don't use a MacBook Pro, but an Intel iMac, and I haven't had any problems
so far.

If you are hesitant to update, try this. Stuff your copy of Office. Update
and if you have problems, you can delete the updated copy and unstuff the
old version and youšre back in business. If you are afraid of what it will
do to your system files, then use a third party application like Super
Duper! that has a feature called a Sandbox. Here's a description of how this
option works:

A Sandbox is a bootable copy of your system, stored on another hard drive or
partition, that shares your personal documents and data with the original.
With SuperDuper!, you actually use the Sandbox as your startup volume. You
can safely install any system updates, drivers or programs in the Sandbox,
without worrying about what might happen to your system. If anything goes
wrong, you can simply start up from the original system. SuperDuper! has
preserved it in its original, pre-disaster state but all your new and
changed personal documents are totally up to date. Within minutes, you're up
and running again without having to go through a difficult and
time-consuming restore process.

According to the Entourage Help Page, error 4362 means that there are
problems with the database, which may or may not be fixed by a database
rebuild. Try rebuilding the database once more to see if that solves the
problem.

thanks michel,
i checked that too...
turns out the newly rebuilt database was corrupt (?)
so i went back to using the old one and now the preview pane works
again..
my main aim was trying to get entourage to open quicker...
it always used to be so fast until os x 10.4.9 on my mac book pro..
thanks for your help...
