I was downloading the new update and it was taking FOREVER to install
(hung on the "searching for applications to update" bit) and so I
cancelled out the update. I went to restart Entourage (it had made me
close it for the update) and...it's NOT THERE. Nowhere. Not in
Finder, not in the trash, not in Spotlight....nowhere. I restarted
the computer in hopes that it would somehow come back by itself, but
it's gone. (All the other Office programs are still there.)

This sucks on many levels. Any ideas, anyone? I really rely on
Entourage. (Perhaps I shouldn't, if it's going to behave like this,
though!)

Thanks,

Heath

(Running Ent 2004, all updates except the most recent; PowerBook OS X,
all updates except the most recent.)

See if it零 in lost+found.

This folder doesn靖 show up unless there is something in it, so I can靖 test
to see if the instructions work.

Is you mail still in the Microsoft User Data folder? If yes, then you can
just re-install Office and UPDATE. I don靖 see why your MUD folder would
have been affected.

Thanks Diane. It wasn't in the lost+found folder, but I reinstalled
and you're right, the MUD wasn't affected. I got all my stuff back!

What in the world could have made it do that, anyway? Very weird!

There have been more reports lately of weird problems like this. I靶e too
experienced some data loss in iMovie. It just disappeared into the ether.

Best we can do, is keep frequent backups.
