I'm not sure whether it syncs automatically or every x minutes, but on
my Mac, any change is reflected in the other app withing a couple of
minutes.

That's true. But in the process, *I* lost all the pictues that were attached
to the contacts :-(

That's due to a limitation in Sync Services; the picture field does not get
synchronised between Entourage and Address Book.

Tha's a different thing.... Pictures (and categories0 are simply not
synchronized in the process. If the contact one base is newer than the
other and doesn't have a picture, pictures are lost in the two :-\
I really hate that. To limit this problem, I add pictures to the
System AB and only update contacts from there. THis way, I can keep
the pictures at least in the System AB.

To be honest, it's a limitation in Entourage. Other apps (and .Mac)
can sync pictures with SyncServices.Entourage doesn't sync pictures
with SyncServices.
I sent feature requests for that a while ago and I would encourage
anybody who wants it as well to use the Send Feedback command in
Entourage to do the same.....

sorry... what is the System AB? You mean the Mac Address Book? You mean that
pictures which are attached to the Address Book, will *not* disappear?

Yes I mean System Address Book.
If the latest version of a contact is from the system AB and if I
always modify my contacts, add new ones from the system AB, then the
pictures are kept properly. If ever I make modifications in Entourage,
then the latest version of one contact becomes the Entoruage one and
the picture can become overwritten (with "nothing": it gets lost).
