Little purple "Y!" icon?

I recently added a new contact to my friend's list. As of yet, she has no logged in, but while she has been offline there has been a purple "Y!" icon to the far right of her name. Does anyone know what this means?

That "Y!" stands for "Yahoo!", so this means that your friend is using a
Yahoo account. Since Messenger can talk to contacts on Yahoo as well as
regular MSN contacts, you won't see any difference when talking to her.
