Hi, I got my mac a year a go, and i installed the messenger:mac 6.0.1, i had no problems with it, but when i updated to 6.0.3 i started having this problem: when I try to login using my usual msn ID witch is by the way not @hotmail or live or msn i ger this: sing in failed because the password is incorrect or the sing-in name dose not exist. if you have... more »

Hiya All I had same problem here as you, till I done the following: A) Make sure Messenger is in your Application folder, not inside your Microsoft Office folder. B) Go to your preferences (home folder/Library/Preferences/Mic rosoft and delete the following:- com.microsoft.Messenger.plist Its worth doing a restart here!!... more »

I just installed Messenger 7 on a new iMac running Leopard 10.5.2 and I can not set a display picture either. Messenger 7 has rejected any files I tried to set as my display picture (the windows version accepted them with no problems). It won't even let me choose one of the built-in pictures that come with Messenger!... more »

Hello, Just downloaded the new Messenger 7, but whenever i try to login to my account i get the message "the password is incorrect or the name doesn't exist." 1. i have no problem to sign in to my account anywhere else from Windows (haven't tried other Macs). 2. the password and e-mail address i am typing are the correct ones.... more »

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Hi, I can't seem to sign in on my messenger for Mac, they keep telling me my password is incorrect. Strange thing is, I can log onto Hotmail just fine. What is the problem here? I was just using messenger for Mac yesterday, and everything worked just fine. I tried downloading messenger 7.0 and even changed my password through my Windows Live account, but it just doesn't work. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.... more »

Who ist doing the same and what have you made to get it working. I (should) have a copy of my root-certificate in the certificate-store as well as I normally used the correct login.... more »
