Knowledgebase has no such error. Yet I get this all of the time. Worse than
that, the menu diagnosis selection which produced this network diagnositic
error disappears from the selection menu when it occurs so you cannot run
the disnostic at all. Basically you cannot connect to any web site through
IE7 or Mozilla, so it is not a IE7 error but probablly a XP error. I wonder
if I should go to Vista to get rid of the problem or will it persist! The
following is from the error report that comes from the "tools" IE7 menu
selection "diagnose connection problems" that sometimes disappears:

info
HTTPS: Successfully connected to www.microsoft.com.

info
FTP (Passive): Successfully connected to ftp.microsoft.com.

warn
HTTP: Error 12002 connecting to www.microsoft.com: The operation timed
out

warn

error

Solution is to restart Windows, what else is new? This happens several times
an hour so it is really annoying. Please help me. I can't beleive I'm the
only one experienceing this problem!!!!

If this is not enough documentation call my cell and ask for Al 757
