AV's Will Not Update
Posted, or at least thought I did, this yesterday but can't find. Running XP Home and IE 8 - I removed Norton AV and installed Comodo AV, which would not update. I uninstalled Comodo and reinstalled w/same issue. Removed and installed two other AV's (PC Tools & another) and neither would update. Neither gave error msg #, just that updates would not run. I ended up... more »

nav bar pulldown history delete button...
I can't tell you how frustrating it's been that I hit the dropdown for the navigation bar (URL) to look at the previous sites, and when I go to select one I accidentally hit the delete button instead and remove it from the list. The location of that button is very unfortunate. Perhaps it could be moved... more »

problem with overlaping windows in IE8
I have reinstalled IE8 twice now thinking it would solve the problem, it hasn't. When I have 2 or more windows open at the same time one is transparant and the others overlap. If I try to close out one of the windows it doesn't close unless I use the task bar, even then part of that window remains. There are times when there are big holes with just the window... more »

How to uncheck "disable script debugging (Other)"?
I have Vista with IE 8. In "Internet options" - Advanced - Browsing, I unchecked the box for "disable script debugging (Other)", but later, the box is checked again automatically. I believe it is done at the restart of the PC. How can I uncheck it permanently?

IE8 image rendering - poor quality issues
I recently discovered a problem with IE8. I have a web page that has technical drawing image files. The images are 3000x700, resized to a width of 700, by IE. When the web page is viewed in IE8 on a pc, the image quality looks great. When the exact same web page is viewed through a Remote Desktop Protocol connection, it looks really bad -... more »

A Suggestion Update For IE8's Smart Screen Filter
Greetings MS, I think that the Smart Screen Filter in IE8 is one of the best improvements in computer safety and security technology. One suggestion that I have for future updates of IE, would allow users to report an unsafe website by entering the URL link in the Report A Website Form. Users should know that... more »
