Window will not close

Recently, the only way I can close a window is to use the control/alt/delete function. When I click the CLOSE button, the screen goes all white but nothing happens. Same thing happens when I try ALT F4 keys. How do I get this cleared up? What is causing this? I am using IE-7.

I copied and pasted from W3Schools.com html sample code that uses XMLHttpRequest in the <head> and a <button> in the <body>. The page renders OK in IE7 (both in Vista and XP) showing a button that should retrieve and display status information when clicked. Security Warning Pop-up

I have added various AOL websites to my "trusted" list. I STILL get a warning pop-up EVERY TIME I try and access webmail.aol.com, my screenname, etc. For over 6 months I have never had this problem. It just started in the last week or so. PLEASE, can u help? B Blake

I suggest microsoft place a target date of release on the IE 8 download page. For those of us no brave enough to load a beta program on our machines yet want the browser when it is ready, it would be most convenient to see a reslease date.
