Rules seem to apply randomly...
I have a repeating table which contains a number of textboxes, some of them populated with the results of calculations. I have a rule defined to update the value of (say) field2 when field1 has a particular value. Unfortunately this rule seems to be applied in a totally random manner... Notes: field1 is populated automatically using a calculated value. Is this an... more »

domain security / distributing infopath forms
The problem I’m running in to is “domain security.” Here’s the scenario: I’m developing an InfoPath form that will be part of an overall solution. The form is essentially a stand-alone data collection tool (i.e., it doesn’t have any data connections to a database but does have resource files that are used to populate dropdown lists). The user will fill... more »

Im a first timer to infopath I have the following questions: 1. Googling says Infopath comes with Office 2003 & above. Does someone exactly know what parts come with Office-is it the client application or server also? 2. Is the client enough to build forms? 3. What are the default forms that are available... more »

How about this...
Suppose I have 3 text boxes each of which holds an integer. I want to concatenate these three integers and turn them into a date value. Is that possible? For example Field 1 = "Day" value of 1 Field 2 = "Month" value of 1 Field 3 = "Year" value of 2009 Field 4 would then contain some sort of rule/code that would take the other... more »

I have read some articles and even cut and pasted some JScript, but have no idea if I am on the right track or if I can do what I want.... more »
