Question folks, I am not an expert with IIS. I have 2 websites on a 2003
server. If I don't use the default website, can I delete it without affecting
the site that I do use?

If this sounds crypted, site 1 is the default, site 2 is the site everyone
uses. If I delete site 1 will it cause any problems for site 2 if they are
different IP sites?

Yes, you can delete the default website without it affecting the other sites.

You can, but you shouldn't. Just stop the service in the MMC and forget
it's there. Some types of software will want it to be there for install or
configuration (Cold Fusion, etc.) so you shouldn't delete it.

Hi Ted:

It should not cause any issues. You can also just stop the site or add a
new IP address to the server for the new site you want to add.

hope this helps,
Anthony
