I am trying to replace my current mshtml.tlb file with a modified one, but
each time I do, the original mshtml.tlb reappears, replacing the new one.

I can never delete/replace the existing mshtml.tlb file.

Can someone help?

You can try this:
Rename the file before uploading it to mshtmlA.tlb.
Once uploaded and you can see it in your FTP manager then right click on it
and rename to mshtml.tlb. It will say that there is already a file with
that name and ask you if you would like to replace it. Obviously, hit yes.
That should take care of your problem. Some servers are real picky when it
comes to releasing files that you dont want anymore. Hope this helps.
