I am trying to set up a SOP Sales Invoice Integration to bring in sales
invoices produced in another system
I would like to bring in the tax amount per line as part of the integration
but cannot get this to work as there is not a tax amount defined at Item
Detail level.
Has anyone any suggestion on how to proceed?
Thanks

JB,

In IM, the Items collection has a Line Item Taxes subcollection where you
can map the Tax Detail ID (which will need to be created already in GP), Tax
Amount, and the Total Sales being taxed.

Mariano.

This will bring in the details for the whole invoice.
I wish to bring in the details at individual line level if possible.
As there will possibly be multiple lines with different taxes, I would like
to be able to enter the tax information as though I was posting the invoice
and could drill back into the invoice detail window and enter the tax
schedules etc

JB,

Tax information can be imported in 2 places in IM in as much detail as
needed. As I originally posted:

You can use the Items > Line Item Taxes collection to import taxes for each
order or invoice line item, or you can use the Sales Tax Detail Summary
collection to import your taxes too.

To import into any of these collections you will need to create a Source
Query, whether that is one tax line item or multiple tax line items it does
not matter.

Hi Mario,

Using the Items > Line Item Taxes will only bring in the Tax Schedule IDs -
there is not the field to bring in the actual tax amount and I thought there
was a bug in IM that meant it did not auto calculate the tax amount.

Have you or anyone managed to work around this problem

What version of IM are you referring to? In version 10, the collection allows
you to import the schedule and the Tax Amount.

Mario,

That will explain the issue - I have not reached the dizzy heights of V10;
my customer is still on V9 so that is what I have been testing on and that
would explain why I was not able to see the tax amount against that
collection.

Thanks for your advice.

Jean

Hi Mario

Realised that I was being stupid and was just not expanding the integration
options enough - finally found the tax line detail option.

Thanks for any input
