I bought age of mytholgy and installed it on my windows
XP machine, which is a p4 2.4 ghz, 512 DDR, Geforce 4 MX
440. I used to work, but it has degraded in to a state so
that now the program starts and there is an aom.exe
proccess in my task manager, but just stops abruptly with
no error message or any indication it has even started.

Each problem was stacked on to the previous ones.
This is the series of events in the degration:

>Worked fine
>Music only present in game if launched from autoplay
>Only worked from a fresh boot
>Only worked on a different username
>Didn't work at all

I have tried reinstalling, uninstalling and then
installing, clean booting, disabling almost all software,
and running in compatabilitty mode.

PLEASE HELP!!!
