I note that previously, flight sim and add-on developers
simply used previously recorded radio ATC traffic with no
relation whatever to "actual" traffic. In FS2004, when
you are asked to hold on the runway, the aircraft on the
runway is exactly the carrier and type specified by the
controller. And, in flight, the traffic advisories are
of actual generated AI traffic and able to be visualized.
Also, in real-world flying, pilots are generally not
asked to identify traffic between their 9:00 O'Clock and
3:00 O'Clock BEHIND them, and I've been asked a few times
by the 'controllers' to acknowledge traffic at 7:00
O'Clock and 4:00 O'Clock which is not feasible,
considering our lack of X-ray vision.
Beyond that, I eagerly look forward to this release and
commend the staff at MS for an exceptionally superb
experience that is well worth the time and money for the
development of this hobby.
Thank you kindly,
J. Waters

I was at the convention and MS was there as well, they announced the
update during it yes, and press releases have been sent out since then
I guess. It has been in testing for a while and should be out soon
(now that I talked too much I'll go back under my rock <G>)
