My host suggested that I put parts of my site in sub directories. Currently
I have everything in one directory. So I guess I should create directories
under that one and move parts of my sites there, such as by subject.

My question is, if I use FP Explorer to make the directories and move the
pages, will the links update automatically? I'm not sure which gif's or
graphics to move either. I suppose if I look at each page I can figure that
out.

Thanks

Both answers are 'YES'!

To figure out what links where, use the Hyperlink view of FP.

Hello Gary,
It's a good idea to separate and "thin out" your main folder/directory.
In FPexplorer and in folder view, create your new folders (that's what
directories are called these days apparently), in the left pane. Images is a
good start. Then simply drag and drop into the images folder all your gifs,
jpg, wav,au files. FP fixes all the link for you. I can't remember if FP
created this folder on the server, but if it doesn't do it with an FTP prog.
I actually have subdirectories with there own index.htm file so I can hang
them off my domain name without a file name. ie my web site is
www.gasgroup.com . I have subdomains for my local footy club (Australian
football) and because I have this folder with an index file I can send
people to this site with this address www.gasgroup.com/bafc instead of
something like www.gasgroup.com/bafc.htm. Minor difference maybe, but
tidier...........

Hope this helps.
