I'm having a time trying to insert a hit counter on the just the index page
that is attached to the DWT.
Is there an easier way to insert a hit counter without detaching the index
page? I just want it to show on the home page.
thanks,
Lisa

Place the counter in an editable area. If necessary, create a new editable
region on the DWT, and leave it blank on all pages except the home page.

Unless you are trying to impress the world with how many people you are
attracting to your site, the best thing out there to determine how your site
is doing is Google Analytics.

Thanks I appreciate the response. My client wants to see a hit counter, so
I don't have an option.

Try to interest them in a tracker icon instead .. just as worthless but at
least is more discreet.... tell them some rubbish as to why they can't have
a hit counter but provide the alternative... and say and guess what it has
all this other stuff too .. look what you can do... blah blah....

mention it will reduce the page load too.

when they won't budge offer the lessor of two evils :) My common response to
the no right click is the no right click for images... however thats not for
clients as I specificaly state I wont do that or some other stuff ( i think
i will add hit counters) its for OP's... at least one can limit the damage
done.
