Is there an evaluation version of Expression Web available for download with
my Technet Plus subscription, similar to other MS software and applications?
If so do you know where it is - I can't seem to find it anywhere. I don't
want the time-bombed version available from the MS Expression web page.

You haven't looked for it properly and this indicates you are not the
paid up member of the elite group of sycophants.

You can download all three versions from here:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/subscriptions/securedownloads/default.aspx

At the above link, click on "Designer Tools" and you will see 5 items
listed.

AutoCollage 2008
Expression Studio 1, 2 and 3
SongSmith

When you are successful don't forget to post a copy online so that we
too can try non "time-bombed" version.

You don't need a subscription to anything. The EW trial is available for
download for anyone. (Don't forget to also get SP1 for it.)

He said he doesn't want a "time-bombed" version. So, the EW trial *never*
expires?

There is no such thing as a trial that doesn't expire. Otherwise, who would
pay for the product?

EW does not seem to be available on Technet, and for the record, EW is not
available for all subscription types on MSDN.

what he wants is the location in technet to get the full version ... so does
anyone have technet plus and can tell him?

where he made the mistake was in saying 'evaluation version of Expression
Web' what I think he means by this is the license terms NOT evaulation as
in a 60 day trial, which he obviously terms as time bombed.... so its clear
he means two different things ... I would tell him but i have msdn not
technet plus which I presume are two different things?

There are no Expression products on Technet as far as I can see.

Of course there isn't. And he specified no time-bomb, so the EW trial is not
what he's asking for ;-)

Technet Plus does not have any of the developer products. You have to have
MSDN for that.

FYI, the Expression Studio suite (and its individual components) are not
developer tools. They are designer tools as such only certain MSDN packages
include them for teams with designers & developers. There is an Expression
Studio subscription offering separate from MSDN or TechNet.

It is also available if you are in the MS Partner program and have an
Action Pack Subscription. There is an additionall "assesment" on-line test
you have to take to be eligible for the Web development products (Visual
Studio and Experession Web).

Although, they make it hard to tell if/when you will receive the Expression
product. For the last two years running I have purchased the product
because it was so hard to tell if I was gonna get it or not, or when. Only
later to receive it in the mail for free. This last time with Expression 3,
I was able to successfully cancel my Amazon order after receiving it free
from MS. The time before I was not able to cancel, it was too late.

MSDN is not TechNet. Also, note that the Expression Studio or web is not
available with all versions of MSDN. And SongSmith and AutoCollage are
only available, afaik, for the educational version of MSDN. Everyone
else can see it but not download.

As an example on MSDN. When I click Designer Tools, I see:

AutoCollage 2008
Expression 1
Expression 2
Expression 3
Songsmith

But SongSmith has no download link, nor does AutoCollage. The other
three do.

None of these products appear in my TechNet subscription. As I believe I
have the top subscription (I know I do for MSDN), I would assume it is
not there.

Peace and Grace,
