My quandary is, do I need Windows Pro or Ultimate in order to take full
advantage of Expression Web? Or is Windows 7 Home/Premium enough for all
aspects of Expression Web?
Thanks for your input.

It's not that simple as you've been told. Windows 7 Ultimate
has an option called XP-mode. This option is not included in
Home Premium (possibly included in Win 7 Pro - I don't remember).
XP-mode is very usefull for a webdesigner. With this option, you
can install an XP-operating system on Win 7. When running Win 7
you can with a click on a button run your XP operating system.
Suppose, your XP-operating system have installed IE6, then you
can test your pages for compatibillity in IE6. This is closer to a real
test in contrast to SuperPreview. For example, if you have a fly-out
menu on a page that is using javascript, a test in SuperPreview will
not tell you whether it works or not. This animal does not run the script.
But using this XP-mode requires your CPU can handle virtualization.
If an intel CPU then find out here. Or download intels program to
tell you whether or not.
See a list here of the intel CPUs that support vertualization XP-mode.
