I had been using EW2 without problems on Vista 64-bit. Since upgrading to Win
7 Professional it runs far more slowly, whereas everything else is faster, or
unchanged. Just scrolling a page results in frequent short hangs for some
seconds with "(not responding)" in the header. EW2 was quite memory intensive
in Vista, but performance was still fine. I have 4Gb memory and this seemed
adequate for what I was doing, but it regularly ran with around 20% free. In
Win 7 it is using just 3000k which seems totally inadequate and I presume
this is causing the slow running just navigating a page. Can I get it to
allocate more memory to try to speed it up? 77% of my memory is currently
free.

I am running Expression Web 2, Expression Web 3 and FrontPage 2003 on
Windows 7 x64 (retail), with 4GB RAM, The memory footprint for EW2 (as shown
in Task Manager) varies from 882K to under 18,000K, allowing the program to
idle for 5 minutes with a large page open the memory usage stabilises at
2820K, with typically 50% physical RAM free.
I have not noticed any slow running, even with a very large page, in EW2
either in Windows 7 or Windows XP - if anything Windows 7 is slightly faster
than XP. There is nothing to configure to adjust memory usage.

FYI - Expression Web 3 uses 119,000K of RAM, with no noticable difference in
speed of any operations.
