On September 14, 2009 I purchased EW3, including the download, License Lock
Box - with License Key and Backup CD. Purchase was made from Microsoft via
Digital River. I have the order number on file, of course. However, the
License Lock Box with License Key and Backup CD have not been received.
Repeated emails to Microsoft inquiring when shipment will be made have not
been answered. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Emails to Microsoft of course won't get an answer about this. You need to
contact Digital River.

Yes I have had terrible experience with Digital River. I have stopped
buying anything online if the download is via Digital River. I always
double check with the company (via email) and ask them specifically who
is distributing and managing the download site. If they say it is
Digital River then that is it. I won't buy it. My next port of call is
to AMAZON from where I get most things these days.

I have the exact same problem. On 8/11/09, I bought EW3 and downloaded it,
however, I did not receive the backup CD and there's no link to download the
software again, despite ordering the lock box. When I go to digital river to
look up my transaction, if I try the order number box, it says that the order
number doesn't exist. If I use my email and credit card as reference, it
brings up the order, but there's no download link.
I FINALLY, after a very long time looking, found a phone number for digital
river customer service. It is 1-952-253-1234. When I got ahold of the 24
hour customer service associate, he tried to tell me that my cd was shipped
in August. I informed him that I never received it, nor did I receive an
email telling me that it was shipped (as the original email states that we
will receive a shipment email.) I'm glad I'm not the only person this has
happened to though, little comfort as it may be. Try the phone number and
see what results you get. I'm waiting for a response via email within 24-48
hours. Post back with any new info you have please, and I'll do the same.

Jim,
I have the same problem but fixed it by downloading the trial version and
using my product key to "legalize" the copy. Pretty sad stories but that's
what happens to companies that get too big to care about customers.
