Exporting Water Colour drawing

I am trying to export my water colour painting to Illustratrator format from
Sept CTP. (I have tried 5.0 and 9.0 exports) The water colour strokes
export to "rectangles" of white (inks seem to export fine...). Any ideas?

Ted,
This is because the water color strokes are made up of bitmap images whereas
the ink strokes are made up of vectors. Illustrator, I presume, can't
convert the bitmap to vectors.
